Dakota Fanning will receive the honor during the convention's closing ceremony Thursday in Las Vegas, The Hollywood Reporter said.
"Since her big-screen debut at the age of 7, Dakota Fanning has impressed audiences worldwide with her unique ability to capture the spirit of each and every character she portrays," ShoWest co-managing director Mitch Neuhauser said.
Dakota Fanning's next big screen role will be in the live-action version of E.B. White's "Charlotte's Web." Among her other film credits are "I Am Sam," "Man on Fire" and "War of the Worlds."
